Electrically insulated cylindrical roller bearings

Electrically insulated roller bearings carry the same types of loads as conventional single-row roller bearings. They are therefore primarily intended for the transmission of radial loads. Most often, these bearings are manufactured in a NU or NJ design so they are separable. These bearings are usually provided with a layer of Al₂O₃ on the outer ring which prevents the passage of electric current through the bearing. The spray usually has a minimum resistance of 50 MΩ at a DC voltage of 1,000 V. For this reason, these bearings are widely used in generators and electric motors.
