Electrically insulated deep groove ball bearings

Electrically insulated deep groove ball bearings carry radial, axial and combined loads, i.e. the same types as conventional single row ball bearings. And they are also inseparable. These bearings are usually provided with a layer of Al₂O₃ on the outer ring which prevents the passage of electric current through the bearing. This spray usually has a minimum resistance of 50 MΩ at a DC voltage of 1,000 V. For this reason, electrically insulated ball bearings are widely used in generators and electric motors.
