Sealed double-row spherical roller bearings

Sealed double-row spherical roller bearings can carry the same loads as standard open double-row spherical roller bearings. Unlike them, however, they contain a seal that protects the interior of the bearing and prevents the ingress of dirt. Due to the contact between the sealing lip and the inner ring, the bearings may be operated at lower speeds compared to open bearings. Unlike most other sealed roller bearings, sealed double-row spherical roller bearings can be re-lubricated through the re-lubrication holes in the outer ring. This step will significantly extend the overall service life of the bearing. Like open equivalents, this type of bearings is able to compensate to a limited extent misalignments and deflections of long shafts.
